Any habitable space should be designed by an architect. There is a bad myth in our societies that, there are some structures that should be designed by an architect and others by anyone else. It doesn’t work that way, any habitable space should be designed by an architect. We recommend using architects because they are the ones who deal with all comfortability and psychology of the user. Engineers always are trained to deal with the structure systems, but architects are trained to deal with people and their spaces.
Bus stops in Dar es salaam and other cities and towns in Tanzania should be designed well also. This is to say that architecture goes deep to the limits. Currently many bus stop huts are just the place to sit and shading device above, and the material used is iron sheets. Many of these huts are constructed by various companies for advertisements.
It is not that they are bad, but they lack something. They lack architectural touches. As said before, any habitable space should be designed by an architect. These spaces must lift the soul of users, they must feel safe and good when using them. They must protect users from rain and other elements of weather.
Below here are some bus stop huts from other countries.
