     CWT building is the office building and it will be the first completed building in Mbeya with many storeys (6 storeys), also it will be the first building in Mbeya to have elevator/lift on it. The lift was launched in 10/06/2014. 

     The building was designed by settlement depopolo consultant from Dar es salaam. The building has a clear hierarchy on the entrance because of the canopy. There are four columns which put in pair to hold canopy and balconies in upper floors. The entrance was not placed at the centre hence bring asymmetrical view of the building. The protruding slabs in each floor brings strong horizontal lines in the elevation

    There are enough windows made up of aluminum materials which ensure maximum natural light within the spaces . The façade has cool cream color which makes the building seen even from far. 

    The building became fame, because of the lift service installed. Many architectural intellectuals say the building is not architectonic. All floors are typical, it is like to copy the previous floor and paste it to the next. The façade was not articulated enough to capture the attention, the windows were just punched in the walls. We didn’t talk to the architect behind the project, may be that was the desired outcome.
