Dar es salaam skyline
Generally the skyline means the line at which sky and horizon meet. Architecturally skyline is the appearance of buildings in a city in relative to one another as determined by their distance from the viewer. The view is often taken from far as someone approaches the city, either by land or sea, depending on the position of the city. It is the outline of buildings defined against the sky.
The skyline of the city is the fingerprint of the city because there are no two skylines which look alike, that is why architects say a city is architecture. Each city has its architecture, and if two cities have the same architecture, the arrangement of buildings in relation to each other cannot match due to geographical reasons.
skyline of any city wasn’t and cannot be built in one day. It is the accumulation of all buildings built in a certain period. Skyline of the city is not static, it can change from time to time depending on the construction speed of the city. It is not possible for all buildings to be seen in a skyline, the tall ones will be seen and hide those which are small. The building which dominates the skyline of the city is called a skyscraper at a particular city.
A skyline of Dar es salam is changing rapidly due to the fastest growth of construction industry. The buildings which dominates the skyline of Dar es salaam are BOT twin towers, golden jubilee tower, viva towers, uhuru heights, pension towers and PSPF twin towers.
