Designing a high-rise building is easy

   To design a high rise building(skyscraper) is as simple as A, B, C... you only need to follow some few considerations and you as a designer will end up with something very good and functional. In order to come up with a good design, a designer must hit the most difficult or challenges which show up. if you weaken the difficult part the whole design become simple and you will enjoy designing.

   Example; if you are designing a chair, the most challenging issue is to make someone comfortable on it, if you overcome that challenge then other parts such as materials and outlook become easy.

Back in the design of high-rise building no matter what is going to take place within, it is simple but not simple. The most challenging issue in high-rise building is to harmonize functions which appear in both floors. Here are three major considerations in the design of high rise;

  • you have to locate main vertical circulations of your building.
  • you have to locate the drainage of the building, electricity routes, AC's and other services by ducts.
  • also you have to know the position of structural system such as columns  and beams.

   If you don't consider  those issues in your first touch of the pencil, you will find it is hard to fix functions in your floors.
