The origin of architecture
caves -pre-architecture habitable environment
Very long time ago people used to stay in caves. Caves were the best place for them since they were safe from animals and environmental elements. People lived in very small societies/clans which made them simple to stay in caves. Then their families grew bigger and bigger, and caves were not sufficient any more.
People decided to step out of the caves to find enough habitable space for them to live together. From there architecture was born. When they are struggling on how they can live together, how they can have suitable environment, how they can hide from rain, how they can control sun, how they can survive in cold; they were practicing architecture.
Architecture is found around the question “how to survive in a certain environment” that is why we have different architectures since we have different environments. When these people asked themselves on how they could survive out of the caves, they introduced architecture to the world. Architecture is the oldest profession living up to day.
